Amanda is married to Paul Dixon, they have two children. Amanda qualified at Manchester in 1993 and has worked at practices in Salford and Didsbury before settling back home in Glossop.

Amanda enjoys building great relationships with patients so that together they can discuss all options and decide on the best plan of action for each individual.

“ I truly believe prevention is better than cure and dental disease is in many ways preventable with the correct advice, I enjoy helping people change their habits to ones which will mean less need for treatments going forward. I try to practice Minimally Invasive Techniques where possible- preserving as much of the natural tooth as able, this is made possible by the amazing materials available today for restoring teeth with techniques such as bonding, and still being able to create beautiful, natural smiles”

By regularly attending postgraduate courses I keep up to date with the latest techniques and materials.
When Amanda is not at work she is a keen baker , and is happiest pottering around the garden at home.

Bex

Rebecca Teasdale

Hygienist Therapist
Dip DHT (Sheffield) 2011
GDC No. 120745

I began working in the Dental Field at Station House Dental Practice 14 years ago as an Apprentice Dental Nurse, I gained experience working in different Dental Practices including specialising as an Implant Dental Nurse.
I decided that I wanted to progress my career in the field that I loved, so I applied to study Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at Sheffield University in 2009. I graduated in 2011 as a fully qualified Dental Hygiene Therapist.
I gained hands on experience in Glossop as a Hygiene Therapist for 16 months before I moved to Shanghai in China where I worked at the largest dental chain in China, DDS Dental for 1 year. After returning in December 2014 I realised how much I had missed not only my family and friends but Glossop as well and have been lucky enough to secure a position back here at Station House Dental Practice.
In the spare time I do have, I try to have hobbies that are not teeth related such as keeping fit, long walks and travelling and exploring new places. I love to feed my mind with information & facts about anything and everything. Along with the mouth and teeth, (which goes without saying) I like to know the in's and out's of how things work from 3D bioprinting of organs such as the human heart, to learning how life saving drones work! My brain is like a giant sponge, needing to absorb tons of information! I also have a love of Bengal cats. Having a Bengal myself, I know first hand, just how intelligent and dog like they are. They are amazing animals but very vocal and needy!

Rebecca provides Airflow Spa Polish treatments at the practice.
